Born in Brazil in 1974, Alex studied art and photography both in South America and in the United States.

Alex's photographs are captivating and visually surprising. They bring to the viewer a sense of beauty of form and simplicity.

"As a child, I used to borrow my grandfather's old Nikkormat and photograph hummingbirds... it was an amazing feeling to get the prints back and see the bird's wings in movement. Today I still try to make photos that bring a sense of magic and simplicity; And I think that's what influences me when choosing my subjects and the ideas behind my photographs."

Alex lives in Sydney Australia with his wife.
